Jessica Miller, LCPC, Therapist
I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and feel grateful to be able to understand the experiences and raw emotions that clients bring into the session. I play an active, yet non-judgmental role, working collaboratively to find creative ways for clients to cope with and/or change maladaptive symptoms and life stressors. I meet clients where they are in order to cultivate positive growth and change.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, struggles with life transitions, and working with new moms. I utilize a holistic approach, believe strongly in the mind-body connection, and incorporate modalities such as the Emotional Freedom Technique, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to empower clients to develop a new sense of self-awareness, deepen connections with others and improve coping skills. Additionally, I am a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of families of infants and young children to improve their sleep and, therefore, quality of life! This specialty has broadened my therapeutic lens and allowed me to connect deeply with families with young children, during an often beautiful, but difficult, life transition.
I will be gentle, but honest, in our work together. I will push you to be your best self while also helping you look at your whole self. No two clients are the same, so my approach will always be diversified to meet your individual and therapeutic goals.
