Lisa Butler, LCPC, Therapist
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important aspects to your therapy experience. I have a strong interest in working with women on their journey of motherhood, whether that be prenatal, infertility, welcoming their first child, or expanding their family. Often in our society, a lot of pressure and responsibility is put on mothers. I find it rewarding to support women on their journey and help to build the skills necessary to take care of themselves in order to take care of their families. I have also completed training to better support those struggling with infertility.
Additionally, I have experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, the stress of life, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, interpersonal conflict/unhealthy relationships, negative body image, and trauma.
I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach but also include Interpersonal Therapy and aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I work individually with clients to find what is best for them; working together to establish goals and identify strategies to accomplish those goals. I know change can be very difficult but also so rewarding. I will be there to help support, motivate, and provide accountability. I hope to cultivate a positive working relationship with all my clients.
