Lisa Butler, LCPC, Therapist

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important aspects to your therapy experience. I have a strong interest in supporting women during their journey of motherhood, whether that be infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting in general. I find it rewarding to help my clients build the skills necessary to take care of themselves in order to take care of their families. For those experiencing infertility I understand how isolating it can feel and have a special interest in supporting you.

Additionally, I have experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, the stress of life, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, interpersonal conflict/unhealthy relationships, negative body image, and trauma.

I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach but also include Interpersonal Therapy and aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I work individually with clients to find what is best for them; working together to establish goals and identify strategies to accomplish those goals. I know change can be very difficult but also so rewarding. I will be there to help support, motivate, and provide accountability. I hope to cultivate a positive working relationship with all my clients.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Deaf Studies and Psychology from Towson University and a Masters in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I am licensed to see clients both in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
